Sherry Wintz

Sherry Wintz, 69, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Our Heavenly Father was in need of another beautiful flower in his kingdom so he reached out and picked our precious loving mother Sherry Wintz. She was born October 31, 1945 in Boone County, Kentucky to the late Badger and Helen Buckler. She was the 5th child of nine siblings. She was born in Kentucky but raised in Weston, Missouri during her childhood. She later moved to Jacksonville with her husband Billy where they have raised their three sons. She is survived by her loving husband John William "Billy" Wintz of Jacksonville, sons; Danny (Amy) Wintz of Corinth, Texas, Rodney (Melissa) Wintz of Beebe, Chad and Jennifer Wintz of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Dania and Daniel Garza, Lauren Wintz, Ross Wintz, John Wintz, Max Wintz, Regan Wintz, and Presley Wintz, great-grandchildren; Heidi Jo, Daniel and Dracen Garza and Sawyer Wintz. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. A celebration of Sherry's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville. Longtime family friend Mayor Gary Fletcher and family member Pastor Paul Doan will officiate. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Buddy Taylor, Bill Harrod, Jimmy Waller, Marty Whited, Ken Fletcher and Todd Fletcher. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support these past few weeks during Sherry's illness especially her "sister" like best friend Connie Taylor and dear neighbor Shirley Baxter. Sherry was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and she was also a cancer survivor. St. Jude's Children's Hospital is a cause dear to her heart; donations may be made in her honor if you wish.
