Mildred Strack Krauskop

MILDRED STRACK KRAUSKOP died on Dec. 13, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark. at the age of 92. She was born on March 14, 1922 to Louis and Julia Byrne Strack in Conway, Ark. In her early years she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway. She attended St. Joseph Schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School. After graduation, she and her sister moved to Little Rock to avail themselves of better employment opportunities. While in Little Rock she met her future husband, Robert Krauskop. They were married on May 16, 1946. In 1954, Mildred received the special gift of her son, Bobby, and her next several years were spent caring for him. Following that, she worked for Custom Printing Company in North Little Rock for many years until her retirement. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Krauskop; her brothers, Andrew (Virginia) Strack, Richard (Leona) Strack and Louis (Alline) Strack; her sisters, Clotine (Vincent) Estrada and Charlotte (Gordon) Harkless. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Deborah "DJ;" granddaughters, Julia (Terry) Curtis, Kimberly (Robert) Cortese and great-grandson, Ricky Cortese; her brother, Ira (Mary Lee) Strack; sister, Virginia Hall, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mildred will be remembered for her sense of humor, her faith, courage and her continuing love for her family and love of life even in times of adversity. Mildred has been a lifelong Roman Catholic and a member of St. Edward Church in Little Rock, Ark. most of her adult life. Rosary will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 801 Sherman Street, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
