Minnie Young

Minnie Bell Young, 88, of Alexander was born November 23, 1926 in Lonoke, Arkansas to parents, Joseph Meeks and Viva Hill Meeks and she rejoined her beloved husband, Johnnie Young and daughter, Viva Diana Young on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She is survived by her daughters Judy Westmoreland and her husband Jerry and Brenda Crews and her husband Ted both of Alexander, as well as her sister Dorothy Horn of Bryant and her grandchildren John A. Thompson (Cathy), Robin Watkins (Brian), Jamey Thompson (Christa) and Kelly Hines (Shane) also her 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending her time with them. She also enjoyed fishing in the family pond and being outdoors working in her yard, she especially enjoyed riding her John Deere mower. She was of Assembly of God faith. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home 10200 Hwy. 5 North in Alexander and will be officiated by Jamey Thompson and Rev. Bob Minick. Burial will follow at Halstead Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.griffinleggettforesthills.com.
