Paul C. Sturman Sr. of Hot Springs passed away December 18, 2014. He was born February 16, 1929 in Smyma, Arkansas to the late Thomas C. Sturman and Myrtle Melinda Craig Sturman. Paul graduated Delight High School in 1948; was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Berlin Airlift in England and the Korean Conflict; retired after 33 years with Reynolds Metal, the Patterson Plant in Arkadelphia. He was president of the Local Union; loan officer of Patterson Credit Union; board member of St. Mary's of Arkadelphia; member of Knights of Columbus in Hot Springs; Boy Scout Master for 7 years of Delight Arkansas Chapter; Antoine Volunteer Fire Department and a bus driver for Delight School Ball games. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Allen Sturman of Hot Springs Village and one brother, John Sturman. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of 65 years & the love of his life; one son, Paul C. Sturman Jr. & wife, Barbara of Delight; one daughter, Brenda Kirksey & husband, Rick of Amity; three grandchildren, Lynn Johnson, Kevin Belt & James Edwin Sturman; six great-grandchildren, Eden Henderson, Haley Passafiume, Zack Johnson, Dillon Sturman, Waylon Sturman & Brycen Belt and one great-great grandson, Caleb Passafiume. Paul was a man that dedicated his life to his wife and family. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Pines Nursing Home and Quapaw Nursing Home in Hot Springs for the love and care shown to Paul. Visitation will be Saturday December 20th from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Finney and Pastor Steve Kelly officiating.
