Joyce Anne Everette Pitt, 68, of Pine Bluff passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 8, 1946 in Lake Village, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Thomas "M.C." and Dora Mason Everette. She received her education in Pine Bluff, attending Dollarway High School. Joyce was a rural route carrier and retired after 32 years of service to the United Postal Service. She attended Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church. Joyce enjoyed gardening and was a master gardener. She was a member of the Silver Streaks Senior Group, loved horseback riding and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Everette Robinson and a grandson, Colby Alan Pitt. She is survived by her three sons, Ricky Roberts, and wife, Kim of El Dorado, Wayne Ringo and Michael Pitt, both of Pine Bluff; her grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla and Sean Pitt, Chase and Matt Roberts, Britney Connolly, Justin and Jessica Ringo; her great-grandchildren, John and Daniel Connolly; her sisters, Judy Parker of Lake Charles, Pat Trantham of Pine Bluff; her brothers, Thomas Everette of Rison and Jerry Everette of Star City along with a host of friends and extended family. The family will have a memorial service 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Duane Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at her home, 2301 Surfside Lane, Pine Bluff. The family was assisted by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
