Daniel L. Johnson, age 41, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. He was born Oct. 12, 1973 in Hot Springs. On July 9, 2008, he was married to Alicia Williams. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W. L. and Dorothy Davis and his mother-in-law, Lorraine Jordan. He was the owner of Smokin in Style Barbeque and a member of the Kansas City Barbeque Society. He was active with the Lake Hamilton Fire Department as well as a board member with the 70 West Fire Department. He also served on the Garland County Fair Board. He was a member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church. Daniel dearly loved his wife, children, parents, brothers and extended family members. He was a dedicated, devoted and caring man to everyone in Garland County. He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Johnson; his twin sons, Brock Johnson and Brody Johnson; two daughters, Gracie McBrayer and Lakyn Johnson; his father and step-mother, Rick and Roberta Johnson; his mother, Nancy Johnson Williams, all of Hot Springs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Wendi Johnson of Hot Springs and Jonathan "J. J." and Kristina Johnson of Beebe; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kim and Richard Hamilton and Megan Weatherford; his grandparents, Kenneth and June Johnson; his father-in-law, George Williams and his wife, Kumiko; his step-father-in-law, Duane Jordan; his aunt and her husband, Kristy and Dan Chamness of Hot Springs; his honorary brother, Greg Robbins and his wife, Carina, all of Hot Springs; his uncle, Gary Davis of Benton; his sister-in-law and her husband, Sabrina and Warren Shuman of Salt Lake City, Utah; his brother-in-law, Keito Williams of Hot Springs; and four nephews, Cole Johnson, Cash Johnson and Cameron Johnson, all of Hot Springs, Eli Shackelford of Beebe; many extend family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Hot Springs Baptist Church, with Bro. Manley Beasley officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Clint Lingleback, Corky Martin, Greg Robbins, Scott West, Doug Davey, Rodney Hall, Larry White and Steve Overton. Honorary pallbearers will be his staff of Smoking in Style Barbeque, the Lake Hamilton Fire Department, 70 West Fire Department and all of the men and women who give of themselves daily to serve Garland County.
