EMMETT FRANKLIN WILSON, 81, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014. He was born on March 15, 1933 in Munford, Tenn. to the late Calvin McLain and Ona Mae Scurlock Wilson. Emmett was a member of Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene and served in the United States Army. He was also a member of the American Legion, the NRA and the Optimist Club. He loved baseball, gardening and camping and retired as a Bakery Supervisor from Merico Bakery after numerous years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Emmett was the devoted and loving father to his five children, Mickey Wilson of Sherwood, Debbie (Joe) Pinney of North Little Rock, Teresa (John) Shapley of Biloxi, Miss., Lanette Wilson of Hot Springs and Melinda (David) King of Sherwood. He leaves behind to cherish his memory nine grandchildren, Melissa (Dustin) Baker, Donovan Wilson, Jodi (Rusty) Harris, Tessa (John) Choate, Joey Pinney, Justin King, Gabby Graham, Scott (Danielle) Pinney, Ted (Christie) Pinney; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Wilson, Donovan "D.J." Wilson Jr., Keegan Harris, Jameson Harris, Sam, Tyler and Tatum Pinney and the mother of his children, Clara Wilson Pruitt. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, 9860 Brockington Road, Sherwood, Ark., with burial following at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400).
