Life's journey ended for Kenneth A. Phillipp on Dec. 23, 2014. He was born on Jan. 19, 1935 in Rockford, Minn. to Paul and Lydia Phillipp. Ken was a veteran of the Korean War trained as a paratrooper. He retired from Southern California Gas Co. in California in 1980 after 17 years of service. He brought his family to Arkansas in 1980 and owned and operated Kap's Landing on Lake Conway for 18 years. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Rory; his parents; one brother, Melvin and brother-in-law, Harry. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat; daughters, Tonia Barrett (Mark), Tamara Claflin (Steve) and Teresa Henderson (Shannon); grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Jacqueline, Alicia, Jennifer, David, Lucas, Sawyer and five great-grandchildren, with two more soon to arrive; five brothers and sisters living in Minnesota, Leanarda, Harold, Betty, Carol and Michael; numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was an avid gardener and hunter. He was a loving and playful father and grandfather. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On Dec. 29, 2014 a rosary will be said at St. Joseph Church at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial mass at 11 a.m. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
