MR. ROOSEVELT "TONY" BLOCK, 71, of Little Rock, Ark. passed on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at his home. He was born to the late Willie and Pearlene Block in Dermot, Ark. on March 12, 1943. He graduated from Roosevelt high school in Gary, Ind. He received his bachelor's degree from University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and his master's from Ouachita Baptist University. He served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He worked for over 35 years for the state government and children-family services. He was also a successful business owner. Left to cherish his love, devotion and memories are his wife of 29 years, Joan and his five children, Jonie Block, Little Rock, Ark., Carmen Fletcher (Robert), Pine Bluff, Ark., Tonni Grant (Irving), Ft. Worth, Texas, Tyra Block, Ft. Smith, Ark. and a special step-son, Paris Walls; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Izell Block (Allie) Crossett, Ark.; sister, Lenora (Henry,) Whitehead Chicago, Ill.; host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing of the body will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home located at 13801 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, AR 72211 from 1-2 p.m. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Burial will be Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 10 a.m. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/chenal.
