Patricia Richardson

Patricia Richardson of Little Rock passed away December 29, 2014. She was born April 24, 1928, to the late Amos H. Richardson and Pattie Florence McSwain Richardson. Pat, along with her beloved sister Hilda, joined Henderson United Methodist Church in June 1934 and was a lifelong member. As a young child, she took vegetables from the family garden to the preachers of the church. She dearly loved her church and church family. Pat volunteered at the church all her life doing little jobs and big jobs, it didn't make any difference, she knew she was working for the Lord and that was a great enjoyment. She held many offices at the church and served on many committees as well as belonging to the United Methodist Women and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Pat graduated from Little Rock High School in 1946 and immediately went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was recognized many times during her employment for her perfect attendance record and also received many other commendations for her work. She retired in 1976. Pat always enjoyed pretty flowers and feeding the pretty birds. She was happiest when volunteering at her church throughout her life. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Haynes and Edward Richardson, sister, Hilda Richardson and aunt, Lenora McSwain Sisell. She is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Richardson, nieces, Nancy Williamson, Pattie Baccarossi, Florence Noble and nephew, Robert Richardson. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 West Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. The service will be conducted by her pastor, Reverend Mike Utley. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henderson United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Art English, Jimmy Hughes, Bobby Johnson, Ray Lancaster, Ted Mahaffey, and Mickey McGill. Honorary pallbearers include great-nieces and great-nephews Ashley, Stephanie, Zachary, Michael, Matthew, Mitchell, Riley, Delaney, Wyatt and Olivia.
