LINDA LIMBIRD FIDDLER, 72, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. She was born Jan. 23, 1942, in Paris, Ark., to Frank M. and Catherine Limbird. Linda grew up in Paris attending St. Joseph Parish School. She attended Paris High School and graduated from St. Scholastica in Fort Smith. She received her undergraduate degree from Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) in Conway, and her Masters of Education at the University of Arkansas. Linda spent over 35 years in the teaching profession in the Brinkley, Little Rock, and Pulaski County school districts. She was a classroom teacher at Brinkley High School from 1962-1963, Sylvan Hills Junior High School from 1965–1973, an Instructional Specialist at Sylvan Hills Senior High School from 1973-1980. She was the Language Arts Instructional/Curriculum Coordinator from 1980 to her retirement in 2000. Linda was member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Lambda Chapter. Following her retirement from the Pulaski County Special School District, Linda worked at the Arkansas Advanced Placement Professional Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Frank M. and Catherine Limbird. She is survived by one son, Thomas Allen Fiddler; and her brothers, Mark Limbird and wife Karen of Scranton, Mike Limbird and wife Bonnie of Little Rock, Bob Limbird and wife Connie of Knoxville, and Jim Limbird and wife Mandy of Little Rock. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her close friends, especially Susan, Elaine, Becky, and Shirley who were a special comfort to Linda. We would also like to thank Dr. Kewen Jauss and her staff at Little Rock Hematology/Oncology and the staff at Arkansas Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Linda. A rosary will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400) on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at 6 p.m. followed by visitation with the family from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock. A private family burial will be at a later date.
