Lawrence Hobby

Lawrence Jerome Hobby, age 75, of Mabelvale, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was born May 25, 1938 in Long Beach, California. Mr. Hobby retired from the Navy having served during the Vietnam War and later retired from IBM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelmer and Zella Hobby; wife, Antoinette Hobby; twin brother, Gary Hobby and a sister, Hazel Martin and husband Emory L. Sr. He is survived by two brothers, Alfred L. Hobby and wife Catherine and Phillip N. Hobby and wife Dana; sister, Eva Jean Gehring and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 5 at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.
