William Richard "Bill" Lile

William Richard "Bill" Lile passed away on Jan. 16, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was born Jan. 12, 1946 in Little Rock, Ark. He was the son of R.A. "Brick" Lile and Olive McKnight Lile who preceded him in death. His brother, James E. "Jim" Lile of Little Rock also preceded him in death. One daughter, Jennifer Elliston, husband Steve and one grandchild, Georgia survive him. Bill graduated from Hall High School in 1963. While at Hall, he was a member of the football and track teams. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1967, with a BS degree in Business. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After college, he worked in commercial real estate in Little Rock. Later, he founded Johns Jeans, a multi-state retail store specializing in Levis jeans. Bill loved music, cooking and all sports. He started a band and was a very talented drummer. He was an avid Razorback fan and spent much time watching the Hogs play football. He enjoyed duck hunting at Brick Lile's hunting club in Lonoke County. Bill had a good heart and his final words to his daughter and friends who visited were, "I love you. Thank you for coming to see me." A service will be held Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baptist Health Foundation.
