Kathy Tacito Henderson

Kathy "Tuck" Tacito Henderson, 54, of McGehee, Ark., died Monday, February 10, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark. Kathy was born July 24, 1959, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Parkin High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English and Physical Education, and Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, graduating with honors. She served as President of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority from 1979-1981. She was a member of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators. She was currently serving as Principal of McGehee Elementary School. She formerly held the position of girls' basketball coach, track coach, softball coach, tennis coach and cheer coach for the McGehee School District. Kathy also taught driver's education and served as an umpire and referee. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of McGehee, AR where she served as elder and taught Sunday School. Survivors include her husband, Randy Henderson of McGehee, Ark.; daughter, Blair Henderson of McGehee, Ark.; son, Eric and wife Erika Henderson, of North Little Rock, Ark.; mother, Mary Tacito of Earle, Ark.; brothers, David Tacito of Marion, Ark., Mike Tacito of Earle, Ark.; and Andy Tacito of West Memphis, Ark.; sisters, Missy Simmons of Manila, Ark.; Barbie Hodges of Wynne, Ark. and Denise Stanfield also of Wynne, Ark.; she was blessed with a granddaughter, Kensley Tucker Henderson of North Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of McGehee, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of McGehee, Ark. or the McGehee Boys' Club swimming pool. On-line guest book may be signed at www.griffinculpepper.com.
