Sue Dixon Berry

Sue Dixon Berry, age 67, of DeWitt died February 11, 2014. She was born May 13, 1946 in DeWitt to John Clifton and Dorothy Faye Martin Dixon. Her father preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Mark Berry, daughters and husbands: Angela Berry and Kevin Long of Jenks, Okla., Jane Berry and Jon Stubbs of Searcy; son and wife: Jason and Marta Berry of Bayou Meto, mother, Dorothy Dixon; brothers: Dennis Dixon (Mitzi) of Tichnor, Doug Dixon of Gillett; sister: Ginny Baxter (Bobbie) of Elkins; grandchildren: Molly, Emily and Betsy Long, Susannah and Samuel Stubbs. Sue was known for her loving service to her family, friends and community. She was involved with the Arkansas Relay for Life, raising over $90,000 as chairperson in 2001. In 2002 she was named Best of DeWitt Citizen of the Year. She cooked many meals for numerous people, and was also known for her beautiful handmade daygowns given to the new babies in the community. She was the best Mimi any grandchild could ask for. The family wishes to express its grateful appreciation to the staff at the UAMS ICU who gave our wife, mom, and grandmother (and us) the best care we could ever imagine. The family requests memorials be made to Bayou Meto United Methodist Church, c/o Dixie Davis, 347 Wheeler Lake Road, DeWitt, Ark. 72042. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 13th, at Bayou Meto United Methodist Church with burial at Bayou Meto Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt.
