Pamela Lynn "Kate" Christopher left this earthly home to dance with the Angels on February 13, 2014 after her long battle with Alzheimer's. Kate was born on April 19, 1950 in Memphis, Tenn. She attended Bartlett High School, class of 1968. Kate is preceded in death by her father James Martin Smith, brothers, Glenn Martin Smith and James Neal Smith, and niece, Theresa Smith. She is survived by her husband, David Lee Christopher, her mother, Cordie Lynn Hughes-Smith of Las Cruces, N.M., brother, Charles "Chuck" Morgan Smith and wife Cheryl of San Antonio, Texas, daughters, Rachel Pitts and husband Scott of Conway, Ark. and Rebecca Snyder and husband Charlie of North Little Rock, Ark. She has six wonderful grandchildren, Lizz Pitts, Asher Koenigseder, Sara Snyder, Phillip, Lucus and Kayla Clemens, and her very dearest friend Jeany Wegenstein. Kate was loved by her nephews, Andrew Smith and wife Colleen, and Zachary Smith, niece Tara Patrick and husband Rob, sisters-n-law, Kris Ridenour, Gail Lipham and husband Mike and Jean Johnson and husband Mike, brothers-n-law, Kevin Christopher, Craig Christopher and wife Elvia, as well as her extended family and friends including Hughes and Smith families from Memphis, Tenn., Carey and Peggy Fitzpatrick, Tommy Witkowski and the Witkowski family. Heaven has received a beautiful Angel today. Kate loved to dance, listen to music, ride horses and live life. She would light up the room with her vibrant smile and charismatic spirit. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Kate, not only can you dance again, but you can soar with your new wings. You will be greatly missed by all, but we will all dance together again one day. We love and miss you dearly! A celebration of Kate's life will be held at Midtowne Church, 4037 Boone Rd. Benton, Ark. 72015, on February 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas at www.alzark.org or by calling 1-800-689-6090. The family would like to thank all friends and family for their love, prayers and support over the years throughout her fight with this horrible disease.
