Willie Gene Tucker-Laster

WILLIE GENE TUCKER-LASTER 91, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Los Angeles, Calif., made her transition to her Heavenly father on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Marion Laster of 59 years of martial bliss; parents, Van Buren and Dicie (Grant) Tucker; and one granddaughter, LaTonya Russell. Her loving survivors include: daughter, Betty Laster Russell; brother, Emmett Tucker Sr.; sister, Allie Wilson; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. A celebration of her life will be Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, 11 a.m., at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1109 S. State Street, LR. Family hour will be Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. LR (501) 372-1305.
