William Lyle Atchley, 91, of Maumelle died Tuesday Feb 18, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born October 13, 1922 at Jacinto, he was a son of the late Alva and Florence Herring Atchley. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and then attended Draughn's School of business. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His profession was in the plastics industry, and for many years owned and operated his own business in California. He was a member of Prosperity Baptist Church, EM Lodge #363 in Fordyce, Bodies of Scottish Rites, and Ramsey Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Armon Williams Atchley and a brother, Allmon Atchley. He is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Anderson and husband, Jesse of Maumelle, Donna Jones and husband, Jimmy of Ramsey; four grandchildren, Steven Anderson and wife Treecee of Maumelle, Tommy Jones and wife Maggie of Little Rock, Lavonne Juhl and husband Jonathan of Maumelle, Clayton Anderson and wife Jeri of Cabot; ten great-grandchildren, Braden Jones of Warren, Kathryn Claire Jones of Little Rock, Nathan, Lauren and Emily Juhl of Maumelle, Brayden and Cade Anderson of Maumelle, William Anderson of Cabot, Brittany McCalman of Texas, Brett McCalman of Louisiana; and special friend Betty McManus of Maumelle. The family will receive friends Friday from 9: a.m. to 11 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Wheeler and Rev. Roy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Prosperity Baptist Church. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
