Donnie Louise Hays

Donnie Louise Hays, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born July 7, 1933 in Malvern to Selwin and Nola Mae Garner Hays and was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. Donnie retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. She was also a volunteer van driver for the American Red Cross with over 500 hours of volunteer time. Her big heart and kindred spirit will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sister, Billie Jean Workman of Mabelvale, her brother, James Hays and wife, Nora of Maumelle, and nine nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, February 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, February 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Jeff Dial. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood.
