Eugene B. Clem

Eugene B. Clem, 91, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Little Rock.He was born November 19, 1922 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, son of Ottie C. and LaNeal Stout Clem. Mr. Clem served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad as a conductor. Mr. Clem was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the VFW, a past potentate of the Sahara Shrine Temple and past member of 32nd Degree Masons. He donated his time to Shriner's Hospital by transporting young patients and their families to the burn unit in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Clem was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Thery Clem; his parents; and two brothers, Odell and Vernon "PeeWee" Clem. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Bailey and her husband, Chip, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two grandchildren, Danielle Pinney of North Little Rock and Grant Grigg of Little Rock; two great-grandchildren, Anna Fraley and Sam Pinney and his nieces and nephews, Judy Clem, Jerry Clem, Donna Rector, Barbara Colclasure, Vicky Stewart and Ronnie Clem. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Ray Brown officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's.
