Claude "Bub" Richard Jones

Claude "Bub" Richard Jones, age 84, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was born September 23, 1929, to Farris and Madia Hartsell Jones in Amory, Mississippi. Claude married the love of his life, Peggy on June 1, 1952 and was happily married for 61 years. Bub was a Christian, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1962, and a devoted member of the Pinnacle Sunday School Class. He loved his church and attended every Sunday for as long as he could. He was a Master Mason of over 50 years. Bub served our country as an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, was an avid woodworker and gardener, who loved his Iris'. Bub was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Bill and Charles Edwin Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, one daughter; Judy Clinton (Larry) of Springdale, one son; Mike Jones (Sally) of Magnolia, one sister; Sara Carlson (John) of Amory, Miss., one brother; James Harold Jones of Amory, Miss., four grandchildren; John Clinton (Samantha), Sarah Stanton (Jesse), Ashley Hollensworth (Steven), and Katie Jones, and two great-grandchildren Avery Clinton and Hudson Hollensworth. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. Visitation will be at the church, one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
