Anne P. Bowers, 75, of Cabot passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2014. She was born October 22, 1938 in Plumerville, Arkansas to the late Eugene and Opal Ruth Plummer Pettingill. Mrs. Bowers was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. She was a 1956 graduate of North Little Rock High School and was active in her class reunion group. Known as the "Godmother" of the Jaycee's and JCI Senate for the state of Arkansas; she loved animals and was an avid birdwatcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Edward "Ed" Bowers Jr. and her son, Kirt Edward Bowers. She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Bowers Gamble and her husband, Scott of Austin, Texas and Kelly Monroe and her husband, Robert and her two precious grandchildren, Logan Graham and Allison Monroe, all of Cabot; two sisters, Jana Pettingill Howe and her husband, Thomas of Cherry Log, Georgia and Cyndi Pettingill Vinson of Alexander, Arkansas; and two beloved nephews that she considered to be grandchildren, Chris Vinson of Philadelphia, Mississippi and Kent Vinson of North Little Rock. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at Cabot United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock. The family suggests donations be made to Cabot United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
