Helen Lowe Mullins, age 90, of Warren, Ark., passed away February 22, 2014 at Bradley County Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1923, in New Edinburg, Arkansas, to the late Luther B. and Mary Huff Lowe. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd Lowe, Kloyce Lowe, Erwin Lowe, and Leola Lowe Johnson. Upon graduation from high school she joined the Women's Army Core and received her surgical technician certification training while serving during WWII. After the war she married James Lee (Porter) Mullins on November 10, 1946. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this past November. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a WWII veteran, and worked at Crow-Whaley Clinic in Warren for 44 years. She is survived by her husband, James Lee; one son Jim and his wife Donna of Fayetteville; three grandchildren: Robyn Mullins Taylor, Michelle Mullins Peevy, John David Mullins and five great-grandchildren: Blake, Sarah and Brandon Taylor, Kaylee Peevy and Kaitlyn Mullins; one niece, Rachel Picking; and two great-nieces: Sharon Reeves and Denny Hartman. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 26, 1:30 p.m. at Frazer's in Warren, Arkansas; burial following at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. Pall bearers will be John Cuthbertson, Eddie O'Neal, T-Roy Reep, Ray Ryburn, and Delbert Zimmerlee. Online guest register www.frazerfuneralhome.com.
