Roy O'Neal "The Phone Man" Shelton, 76, of Searcy went to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014. He was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1937 in Bigelow, Arkansas to the late Vester G. and Emma Waddle Shelton. Pawpaw, as he was affectionately known to his grandchildren, was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He loved deer hunting, the Razorbacks, going to Walmart, and breakfast at Maddie's. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Searcy, a graduate of Central High School in Little Rock class of 1956 and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lewis Shelton; and a sister, Sue Shelton. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ne'll Adams Shelton; sons, Greg Edwards (Brenda) of Cabot and Neal Shelton of Conway; daughters, Mrs. and Mr. Mitchell, Tyra Curtis (Ronnie) of Little Rock and Roxanne Shelton of Little Rock; sister, Ruth Williams of Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Darlene Gentry of Van Buren, Mildred Holland of Little Rock and Roselene Adams of Pangburn; brothers-in-law, Huey Gowen of Garner and Dale Smith of Searcy; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501) 268-3546. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Brian Whitney, Bro David Crouch and Bro Bill Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in the Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn. Pallbearers will be Terry Adams, Mike Gowen, Steve Gowen, Bill Gentry, Darron Gentry and Eric Smith.
