Harlon Samuel Laycook, 85, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, February 24, 2014. He was born in Faulkner County, Arkansas. Harlon served our country in the Armed Forces and retired from L & S Concrete. Harlon was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Blanche Laycook; siblings, Vernon Laycook, Jody Laycook, Mary Wickliffe, Lois Hill, Emma Laycook ; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Sr. and Gail Laycook. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn Laycook; sister, Gladys Carter and brother-in-law, Tommy Carter of Conway; children, Ronald Laycook and wife, Kay of North Little Rock, Robert Laycook and wife, Jane of Jacksonville and Regina Laycook of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Michael Laycook, Jr., Michelle Beck, Christina Pierce all of North Little Rock and Alicia Loveless of Bryant; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Round Mountain Cemetery.
