Carl Alvin Lavender

Carl Alvin Lavender, 79, of Bryant passed away on December 30, 2013 at Saline Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Prescott, Ark. to the late Harold Loyd Lavender and Thelma Bryson Lavender on November 8, 1934. He is a graduate of Prescott High School. Carl loved family, friends, traveling, gardening, and fishing. He was a member of the Bryant Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by three sisters. Carl is survived by his wife, Faye Jetton Lavender; two sons, Michael Lavender (Nancy) of Lake Village, Ark., and Robert Lavender (Melissa) of Bryant, Ark.; two daughters, Kay Ball (David) of Houston, Texas, and Terrie Dick (Tony) of Bauxite, Ark.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Boe Dickey will be held Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at 3 p.m. The family invites guests to a reception visitation following the service until 5 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N.
