June A. Collie

June A. Cochran Collie 82, of Glen Rose went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 1, 2014. She was born January 23, 1931 in Winchester, Arkansas to the late Moses and Bernice Rogers Cochran. She was a member of Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church and served our savior by teaching others about the love of Christ in Sunday School, serving in Ladies Axillary, and supporting numerous missionaries around the world. She loved reading, writing poetry and reminiscing of days spent with family and friends. June was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bill Collie, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Wayne Collie and wife Beverly, Jerry Collie and wife Wanda, Steve Coolie and wife Mary, all of Glen Rose; one daughter, Teresa Mitchell and husband Bob, four grandchildren, Ashley Heath, Nathan collie, Robert Mitchell, and Valerie Cook, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Moses Cochran and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ashby's.
