Michael Howard McGary

Michael Howard "Mike" McGary, age 84, of Romance, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his home. He was born March 14, 1929 in Coahoma County, Mississippi to William McGary and Mary Lorena Linton McGary. He was a member of the Rose Bud First Baptist Church, a Korean War veteran, and was retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye McGary; two sons, Dwayne McGary and wife Paula of Conway, Harold McGary and wife Tonya of Searcy; one daughter, Diane McGary Rodtnick and husband Bruce of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Kerry Rodtnick and wife Amanda, Traci Sandefur and husband Shane, Chris McGary, Leslie York and husband Cody, Lindsey McGary; eight great-grandchildren, Reece Rodtnick, Riley Rodtnick, Ally Kate Rodtnick, Rhiannon Sandefur, Lorelai Sandefur, Tristan Sandefur, , Kendall McGary, Cooper York; and four brothers and sisters, Koby Gould, Maxine Ramage, Pat McGary and wife Lavelle, and Jerry McGary and wife Dana. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Lou Long; one brother, Frank McGary; and one grandson, Will McGary. Memorial services are Saturday, January 4 at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Bud First Baptist Church (no graveside services).
