Allen Edwin Ply

Allen Edwin Ply, 89, of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born April 6, 1924 in Casa, Arkansas to the late Esther Adney Ply Brown and Floyd Ply. He was a retired machinist from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Allen served in the United States Navy and was a member of Family Church in White Hall. He is preceded in death; by his parents; wife and mother of his children, Hazel Tidwell Ply; brothers, Thelmer, Albert, Eugene, and GL Ply. He is survived by his daughters; Patricia Wooley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janet Ply of Rogers, Arkansas and Pam Rains of Springdale, Arkansas; sister, Genell Epley of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jordan Wooley, Lori Hewling, Chase Rains, and Lance Rains. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery by Cranford Funeral Home.
