William Howard "Bill" Wilhite, 80, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 and was a Signalman on the USS Roulette. Bill was a member of New Hope Nazarene Church in Little Rock. He loved his church family and never missed an opportunity to offer his gratitude for their prayers and concerns for him. Bill enjoyed fishing, selling campers, working in his yard, music, and playing the harmonica for his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept his family and friends in stitches. Bill was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ocie Wilhite of Little Rock; son, Billy Charles Wilhite, of Little Rock, daughter, Brenda Wooley and husband, Tim of Warren, son, Ronnie Wilhite and wife, Libby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, son, Robert Wilhite and wife Abby of Benton, daughter, Melissa Collins and husband, Eric of Little Rock, son, Gary Stowers and wife Pam of Little Rock, daughter, Cindy Carver and husband, Allen of Benton; stepchildren, Marie Barker, of Little Rock, Jack Romine (Neena) of Little Rock, Randy Romine and wife, Robin of Little Rock, Sandra Brasfield, of Little Rock, Mary Dyson and husband, Kim of Cabot; 41 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maggie Nell Garrett and husband, Fritz, of Texarkana, Alta Aaron, of White Hall and Scottie Quire, of Conway; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E. "Bus" and Ola Wilhite; two sons, Michael Wayne and Don Wilhite; daughter, Patti Wilhite; brothers, Oscar "Mutt" Wilhite, Charles Henry "Chuck" Wilhite and Jim Wilhite; sisters, Addie Bell Hall and Fern Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m Monday, January 6th at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodson Cemetery.
