David D Shelby

Mr. David D. Shelby passed away on January 5, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1925 to the late Clarence and Maggie Coulson Shelby. He was a good Christian man who loved life and his family very much. He was a fisherman, hunter and was a political fundraiser with Chicken Jeans for the Poor Boy Supper Mr. Shelby was also a member of the England Masonic Lodge 507. He was a farmer and a bridge inspector for Lonoke County and managed the England Waste Station. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Shelby daughter Donna Davison son Danny Shelby and Step sons Don and C.V. Ford and two brothers Calvin Shelby and Clarence Shelby Jr. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Wilma Darling Shelby of England, daughter, Kathy Parker of England, step-daughter, Sharon (Mike) Matte of Frisco, Texas a special daughter-in-law Carol Ford of Gulf Breeze, Florida; stepsons, Jerry (Shelia) Ford of Ft. Worth, Texas and Randy (Rita) Harmon and Bob (Dara) Harmon both of North Little Rock. Also a sister, Faye Shelby Elrod Little Rock and 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Wilson Robison Chapel with visitation starting at 12 noon until service time on day of service with Dr. Rick Hyde officiating.
