Charles Edward Hollis Jr., 76, of North Little Rock was born September 10, 1937 in Little Rock to parents Charles Edward Hollis Sr. and Lela Douglass Hollis Calhoun and passed away on January 5, 2014 in North Little Rock. He attended Amarillo High School and was a retired truck driver for Jones Truck Lines. He was a member of the Teamsters local 878 and Rose City United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing men's fast pitch softball and coaching his daughter's softball teams, as well as singing and country western dancing. Eddie loved to make people laugh and would sing and tell jokes. He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his children Gary (Tod) Hollis and his wife Laura of Frisco, Texas and Lisa Kay McPeak and her husband Butch of North Little Rock as well as his grandchildren; Casey McPeak of North Little Rock, Kimber McPeak Reaves and her husband Michael of Houston, Arkansas, Kathryn (Katy) Hollis of Frisco, Texas, and Jackson Hollis of Frisco, Texas and two great grandchildren Kinsley and Hollis Reaves. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor or a charity of your choice. (www.cancer.org). A graveside service will be held at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock on Thursday, January 9th, 2014 at 2 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held following the service at Rest Hills Funeral Home. www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
