Ethel Virginia Shannon

Ethel Virginia Shannon age 71, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2014. She was born December 24, 1942 to the late Joe Lee Silas Sigler and Minnie Sigler. She was preceded in death by two children, Ethel Virginia Jarry, and Cynthia Annette Kirk. Mrs. Shannon was a retired registered nurse, she will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Roger Shannon, one son, Roger Holcomb and his wife Jana, siblings; Peggy McDonald of Fresno, California, Linda Espinosa of Modesto, California, Hubbard "Bud" Sigler of Oakdale, California, Kathleen Dunn of Water Valley, Mississippi, Barbara Leazer of Parks, Arkansas, Brenda Sigler Kachel of Ceres, California, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
