Jerry O. Digman

Jerry O. Digman, 58, formerly of Walnut Ridge died Sunday at his home. He was born July 10, 1955 in Jonesboro to Jerry and Louise Digman and was a 1973 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. He was a retired Lieutenant for the Arkansas State Police and was State Trooper of the Year in 1991. He had also served in the state police security detail under former Governors Bill Clinton and Jim Guy Tucker. He was currently Chief Ranger of the Arkansas State Parks and Tourism and a 32nd degree Mason with Scottish Rite member of Pulaski Heights. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Digman and wife Sondi, Michael Digman all of Little Rock; his parents, Jerry and Louise Andrews Digman; brothers, Marty Digman and Scott Digman both of Dallas, Texas; sister, Amelia Lewis of West Hollywood, California and one grandchild, Miles Digman. Funeral Services will be Friday, 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with burial to follow in Whittaker Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
