Frances Jane "Janie" Bracy of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2014. She was a faithful member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, a singer in the Sanctuary Choir, Energizer Choir, and member of the Deitz Dialog Sunday School Class for many years. Janie was born on April 28, 1925, to Neil and Clara Brainerd in Marianna, Arkansas. She graduated from Marianna High School, then the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1947 with a BA degree in Business Administration. She attended the University on a vocal scholarship and was a member and former president of Delta Delta Delta. She also was a semi-finalist in a Miss Arkansas pageant representing her hometown as Miss Marianna. Her first job after graduation was a Customer Service Representative with Bell Telephone Company. When she began having children she then spent her time being a wonderful mom, nurturing her family, and managing her household. Janie enjoyed a host of enduring friendships. She spent a great deal of time participating in various local charity organizations such as the 20th Century Club and CARTI. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Bracy. She is survived by three children; Betsy Foss of Jacksonville, Fla., Mike Bracy (Sherry) and Bob Bracy (Connie) of Little Rock, five grandchildren; Jamie Reinheimer (Johnny) of Orange Park, Fla., John (Ginni), Stephen (Jennifer), Drew (Marisol) and Alison Bracy, all of Little Rock. She has two great-grandchildren; Macy Reinheimer and Paxton Bracy. as well as five nieces/nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. A private family internment service will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
