Vondell Van Bebber

Vondell Van Bebber of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014. Vondell was born in Wellington, Texas on October 17, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Jewell Guthrie of Stratford, Texas. Vondell was a retired elementary school teacher and homemaker. She graduated from Henderson State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Greg. She is survived by their three sons: John Gregory Van Bebber Jr. and his wife Cathy of Dennison, Texas, Dr. Richard W. Van Bebber and his wife Debbie of Hot Springs and David L. Van Bebber and his wife Sue of Springdale, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Gregory Van Bebber of Payton, Ohio, Isaac Van Bebber of Everett, Washington, and Nicholas Van Bebber and his wife Alyssa and their children Gabe and Kate all of Hot Springs; Lauren and her husband, Lance Davis and their son Grayson all of Dallas, Texas, Sarah Penny and her husband Shaun of Springdale; Garrott Van Bebber of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Thomas Van Bebber of Fayeteville, Arkansas and Luke Van Bebber of Springdale. She was very active in her church community of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
