Drusilla Matthews a long time resident of the Bond Special Community went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. She was born in Willow, Okla. on Oct. 12, 1915 to John Edwards and Maggie Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents and a wonderful stepfather, Lum Ray; her husband, Gerald Matthews; a daughter, Margaret Ann Matthews; two sons-in-law, Wayne Williams and Larry Bogan; two sisters, Johnnie Montgomery and Dorothy Hatfield; and one brother, Bill Ray. She is survived by son, Reverend Bill Matthews (Lenore); four daughters, Betty Williams, Jeanne Conger (Robert), Kay Goodman (Jim), and Fay Bogan; two brothers, W.C. Jr. Ray and Howard Lee Ray; one sister, Peggy Baldwin; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Drusilla served the Lord for many years at Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was currently a member of Concord Baptist Church. She worked many years at Holiday Food, but cherished her work at Oak Lodge Nursing Home. She was a wonderful Mother, Nannie and friend. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel of Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. Family will visit with relatives and friends on Sunday; Jan. 12, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson St Van Buren, Ark. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandson-in-laws.
