Billy Louis Lindsey

Mr. Billy Louis Lindsey Sr., age 85, died at his home on January 11, 2014. He lived in Caldwell, Arkansas for his entire life. Mr. Lindsey was born in Caldwell, Arkansas on November 3, 1928 to Baxter Lamont Lindsey and Mable Harris Lindsey. He attended the University of Nevada and Arkansas State University. He farmed for over 40 years. Mr. Lindsey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Forrest City, Ark. He was a Sunday School teacher and also served as a Lay Leader and District Lay Leader. He was a past member of the Arkansas Public Building Authority and the Arkansas State Constitutional Convention of 1969-1970. Mr. Lindsey had numerous hobbies through his life. He loved duck hunting, woodworking and growing daffodils, pecans and buckeyes. Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jo Norton Lindsey and his children, Billy Louis Lindsey Jr. and Rosanne of Austin, Texas; June Hightower and Eddie of Madison, Miss.; and Polly Crenshaw and Richard of Tupelo, Miss. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dr. Charles Lindsey of College Station, Texas; Cole Crenshaw and Elizabeth of Jackson, Miss.; and Lindsey Crenshaw of Nashville, Tenn.. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Lamont Lindsey of Caldwell, Ark. and was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Catherine Gullick. Visitation will be at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City, Ark.on Monday, January 13th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 14, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City, Ark.
