Samuel Unser-Gilmore Fukino

Samuel Unser-Gilmore "Fuki" Fukino, age 35, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was born on May 29, 1978 in Georgetown, Texas. He was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a loving father and full of life with a great love of the outdoors, traveling, boating, and riding his Harley. If there was anything that peaked his interest, he did it. He had a big heart, befriended all he met and gave the shirt off his back to help anyone who asked. He was preceded in death by his biological father George Gilmore, grandfathers; James Gilmore, Herman Unser, and Ronald Fukino. He is survived by his parents, Barbara Unser-Fukino and Steven M. Fukino, his loving children; Sage Fukino, Scarlett Fukino, Ethan Everest, Skylar Everest, his former spouse and the mother of his children, and best friend forever, Michelle Strickland Everest, his best friend Shaun Everest "2 Dad". He is also survived by his brother, Tucker Fukino, his former parents-in-law, David Strickland and Geri Strickland, former brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Janna Strickland, his grandmothers; Mary Lee Gilmore of Albany, New York, June Unser of Albany, New York, Jeannine Fukino of Honolulu, Hawaii and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in memory of Sam to Operation Warm that can be made through any First Sergeant.
