Charles Hughland "Nick" Nichols

Charles Hughland "Nick" Nichols of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 26, 1933 in Buckner, Arkansas, the son of the late Charles Henry and Ethel McMatt Nichols. He had served in the US Army, and had been a mechanic for Arkla Gas for many years. He enjoying working on cars, remodeling houses and fishing. Nick died Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 80. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Dorothy B. Nichols. Survivors, wife, Jacqueline Chenault Nichols of Sheridan; son, Charles Gregory Nichols of Sheridan; daughter, Deborah Ann Jetton and husband Edward of Benton; step-daughter, Alana Merritt and husband James of Little Rock; sister, Helen May of Stamps; two grandsons, Steve Sprayberry and David Sprayberry; step-grandchildren, Terry, Kristena and Paul Merritt; great-grandchildren, Zayne, Brent, Skyler, Ruston, and Tucker and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
