Harold F. West

Harold F. West, age 80, of Crossett, Ark., passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 18, 1933 in Kingsland, Ark. to his parents, Gus and Hilda West. Mr. West was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship. He retired from Jade's Super Foods as store manager after several years of service. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and softball; later, he enjoyed spending time golfing with his friends. Mr. West was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Peggy Gulledge West of Crossett, Ark.; one son, Dr. Mark West and wife, Kathy of Mt. Home, Ark.; three grandchildren, Eric Willis of Bossier City, La., Mark West Jr. and Elizabeth West, both of Mt. Home, Ark.; 2 great-grandchildren, Luke and Lydia Willis of Bossier City, La. and several cousins, many friends and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com).
