Carl Vincent Strayhorn

Carl Strayhorn, 93, of Searcy, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was born in Searcy, the son of William and Mary Hooper Strayhorn. Carl was a retired United Methodist Minister who served in several churches in the North Arkansas Conference. He is survived by his son, Darrell Strayhorn and his wife Patricia; a daughter Carolyn George and her husband William; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Alto (Britt) Strayhorn; four brothers, Finis, Redus, Ollie and Otha Strayhorn; and a sister, Lucy Boyd. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
