Homa Pee Wee Zakrzewski

Homa Gene (Pee Wee) Abshier Zakrzewski, 81, of Mayflower passed away Monday 20 January 2014. She was born 11 April 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late James and Vivian Abshier. She spent most of her youth in Horatio, Arkansas and lived and worked in North Little Rock for 35 years before she and her husband Albin moved to Mayflower in 1995. Pee Wee worked as a legal secretary for Martin, Dodd & Kidd and then as the coordinator of the Central Arkansas Join Apprentice Association for plumbing, from which she retired after 30 years of service. After retirement she was able to devote more time to her love for working in the yard. She was a long-time member of The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in North Little Rock. Pee Wee is preceded in death by her sister, Norma Smith. Survivors are her husband of 36 years, Albin Zakrzewski; son: John Edward Smith (Sara); grandchildren: Jack, Maria, and Peter Leonhardt-Smith all of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters: Donna Davidson of Fayetteville; Jamie Butler (Charles) of Horatio; Callie Morris (Quinton) of Aransas Pass, Texas; stepdaughter: Karen French of Milton, Fla.; stepson: Robert Zakrzewski of Cabot; numerous friends. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. on Friday 24 January at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with the Rosary to follow at 7 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in North Little Rock (Marche).
