Irvin Jones

Irvin Jones, 84, of Bryant, passed away January 22, 2014. He was born October 22, 1929 in Saline County, Arkansas to the late Johnny Larkin and Willie Dodson Jones. Irvin was a member of Holland Chapel Church and served three years with the Army Air Corp. He was retired from Alcoa. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Johnny and Jesse Jones and sister, Jacquelyn Hosaka. Survivors, wife of 61 years, Doris Cloudell Jones, daughter, Connie Thomas, Vicki Morgan (Jeff), Barbara "Babs" Heard, (Joe), grandchildren, Bryan Thomas, Amy O'Connell, Lauren Brakebill, Richard Thomas, Seth Howerton, Rachel Heard and great grandchild, Nathan Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Thomas, Richard Thomas, Seth Howerton, Raymond Rankin, Andrew Brakebill and Joe Heard. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Holland Chapel Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Bro. Carl Richey and Bro. Jason Tallent will officiate. The family will be at Doris Jones residence at 512 Sedgefield Drive, Bryant, Arkansas. Family and friends are welcome at any time. Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.
