Lela B. Graddy

Lela B. Graddy, age 85, of Benton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. She was born May 2, 1928 in Moreland, Ark. Mrs. Graddy was a homemaker, a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church and an avid Razorback fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Vera Bell; and two brothers, Wayne and Robert Bell. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Ray Graddy of Benton; two daughters, Diane Prokos of Sanford, N.C. and Debbie Tully and husband James of Benton; brother, David Bell of Charleston, S.C.; five sisters, Sue Curtis of Benton, Betty Lou Harrell of Malvern, Ann Nix of Benton, Linda Hill of Benton and Peggy Newsom of Benton; five grandchildren, Chris Shepard, Paul Shepard, Jon Shepard, Jill Hawkins and Julie Gunter; 10 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Steven, Ethan, Holden, Ashton, Tristan, Colin, Cole, Zoey and Mason; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery.
