LOUISE "MEMAW" EDWARDS, 83, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014. She was the 7th of 10 children born to George Clinton and Ina Johnson Lovell. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; three brothers; son; and her grandson. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years and eight months, Charles Roy Edwards; daughter, Ann Williams (Sidney) of Russellville; sons, Phillip Edwards of North Little Rock, and Rev. William Roy Edwards II (Rhonda) of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and dozens of extended sons and daughters. Louise lived her entire life within a 50 mile radius of her birthplace of Benton, but her influence is spread worldwide. She was teacher assistant at Scott school, Sunday school teacher at Rose City Church of the Nazarene and supported Missionaries all over the world by mailing countless packages of rolled bandages, medicine, baby needs, candy and special requests of items not available where the missionary was posted. Family time was always filled with delicious food she cooked, especially her homemade donuts and dill pickles. She loved playing dominoes, fishing and staying in the deer woods. She taught all her grandchildren how to make cookies and sew quilt blocks. Never one to be idle, she was even known to continue shelling peas in her sleep. The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff at Springhill Baptist and Baptist Hospice for the compassionate and loving care of our mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in her memory made to Grace Church of Nazarene in North Little Rock, Ark. to support LINKS. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday at Rose City Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
