Betty Vaughan Hardman

Betty Vaughan Hardman, 83, of Thornton died Monday January 27, 2014 at Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab in Little Rock. Born September 10, 1930 at Bearden, she was a daughter of the late George D. Vaughan and Lottie Vaughan Gray. She was a retired X-Ray technician from the Dallas County Hospital and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Jonathon Hardman and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Jay Hardman and his wife, Susan of Little Rock; sister, Anne Vaughan Newton of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Brandon James Hardman and Adam Nicholas Hardman of Little Rock; nieces, Ruth Ann Poole, Ann McKissack, Karen Maness and Julia Faye Byrd. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday January 31, 2014 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 until service time Friday at Benton Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
