Thomas Raymond Isenman, 60, died Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born on December 30, 1953, in Little Rock, and was the son of the late Albert W. Isenman, Jr., and Betty Vise Isenman. He was a 1972 graduate of Catholic High. He attended UALR, where he was a member of SAE fraternity. He married his wife Gail in 1987. Because of Tommy's health problems, he and Gail expected they would be childless; but in 1991 they were blessed with their "miracle baby," Colleen. Tommy worked at Mr. Wicks as a salesman during college. He worked at Paul Bunyan's Men's Store from 1975 to 1999, first as a salesman and later as manager. He retired in 1999 due to health problems. Tommy never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor, and he loved to joke and tease his friends. Although he endured painful health problems, he never complained and always had a smile on his face. He had two life-saving kidney transplants as a young man, and from then on he was a strong proponent of organ donation. He often encouraged other patients facing transplant surgery. An avid fisherman and golfer, Tommy loved the Razorbacks, and he especially enjoyed taking care of his beloved dog Penny. Survivors include his wife, Gail Sharp Isenman, and daughter Colleen Isenman both of Little Rock; sister, Mary Isenman of Nashville, Tenn.; brother Albert (Cecelia) Isenman III, of Evanston, Ill.; nephew Walt Isenman of Evanston; brother-in-law, Dr. Greg (Lynn) Sharp of Little Rock; and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 11 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street in Little Rock. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, the American Heart Association, or UAMS. Special thanks to Dr. Sameh Abul-ezz, the staff of UAMS, the Little Rock Fire Department and MEMS EMTs for their help through the years. Online guestbook: www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
