Geraldine Rummel McGraw, 92, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2014. She was born July 14, 1921 in Star City, Ark. to Grover C. McGraw and Jewel Bush McGraw. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Grover C. McGraw Jr. Geraldine was raised in Star City and graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1943 where she was fondly nicknamed Jerry. After working as a teacher in Star City and Pine Bluff, she became a County Home Demonstration Agent where she met her future husband George A. Rummel Jr. They married in 1948 in Star City and settled in Pine Bluff where they raised their family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years; their daughter, Susan Rummel Berry and her husband Dr. S. Keith Berry of Little Rock; a grandson, Spencer Berry of New Orleans, Louisiana; a granddaughter, Laura Gentzel and her husband John Gentzel of Washington D.C.; and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Gentzel. She will be missed by her family who will always love her. "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300.
