Brian T. Phelps, age 53, of Pearcy, Ark. passed suddenly from this life on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home to be with his Lord & Savior.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Janet Henderson Phelps, of Pearcy, Ark.; parents Gene & Connie Phelps of Peoria, Ariz.; sister, Paige Feddema (Greg) of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two nieces, Alison Harkness of Larchwood, Iowa and Ashley Wulf (Tyler) and their son Link of Brandon, S.D.; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of dear friends.
He was born in Sumner, Iowa; graduated from El Dorado High School in Placentia, Calif.; and received a Bachelor's Degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Brian worked as a photojournalist, a commercial photographer, for Jones & Landers Harley Davidson dealerships, and for the past two years for Dan's Whetstones. He was a talented musician and loved riding his motorcycle. His legacy includes leading Christ-centered Men's groups, mentoring many. Brian was always willing to listen, always willing to help.
A memorial service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1 p.m. at LakePointe Church, 1343 Albert Pike Road, Hot Springs, Ark. There will be a reception immediately following for everyone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) or LakePointe Church. Services provided by Gross Funeral Home.
